Non-exempt staff employees at the University of Tennessee may participate in a special Career Development Fund program supported by annual gifts from employees.

Certificate programs provide participants with a training curriculum focused on particular topics relevant to success and effectiveness in the workplace. Both in-person and online certificate programs provide structured training on key topics.

The Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) exam and certificate offers UT’s regular, non-exempt clerical, secretarial, or clerical management employees or any employees performing closely related duties the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of job-related skills and receive a 9 percent pay increase for earning the certification.
