Before those roles, Scott taught mathematics for 18 years at three different institutions: the College of Mount St. Joseph, Western Carolina University and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Scott received his PhD from the University of Illinois, and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Truman State University.

“My favorite spot on campus is the Rock. I love the freedom it gives students and the campus community to express their thoughts and emotions, and the tradition it represents to all connected to the University.”
